AusGAP welcomes two new turf businesses

AusGAP is pleased to announce the inclusion of two new farms into the certification program. Rosemount Turf and All Turf Solutions, both in South East Queensland, have recently received AusGAP certification after working through the program for the past 12 months.

AusGAP compliance manager Nick Dorney describes the two companies as a perfect fit.

“Both Rosemount Turf Supplies and All Turf Solutions were well on the way to being compliant in most areas of AusGAP when they signed up around 12 months ago.” Dorney explained.

“In the past, it has taken businesses 2 years or longer to be fully compliant and qualify for certification, in this case, both farms were up to task in less than 12 months.”

Rosemount Turf and All Turf Solutions are both family run businesses with a focus on quality products and customer service. Both have grown from humble beginnings and are enjoying success in their regions due to this focus on people and products, the back bone of the AusGAP certification system.

Rosemount Turf is situated on the fertile river flats of Petrie Creek on the Sunshine Coast. The family have been growing turf since 2004, prior to that they were cane farmers with the farm being in the family for close to one hundred years.

Ross and Lynelle Boyle own the business and work with farm manager is Sam Wasmund. They believe the point of difference in their business is selling a quality product and backing it up with attention to detail in customer service. Rosemount’s core turf sales are delivered anywhere between Gympie in the North and Brisbane in the South with turf sent as far west as Dirrinbandi.

All Turf Solutions is a small, family run and operated farm owned by Duncan Swinton and his wife Annie. All Turf Solutions began as a small 10-acre lot at Tamborine near the Gold Coast, now the farm has expanded to a second location at Rathdowney, this farm has been in the family since the area was first settled in the 1800’s. Today their son Daniel is vital to the operation and new direction of the business.  His wife Sara works behind the scenes keeping the accounts and social media operations running smoothly

All Turf Solutions primary operations is at our Tamborine farm (harvesting in addition to farm pick-ups), the secondary location at Rathdowney is quickly coming into full swing. All Turf Solutions service loyal landscapers as well as mums-and-dads everywhere from Sunshine Coast to Tweed and out to Ipswich.

The addition of these two turf farms takes the total number of AusGAP certified turf businesses to 40 and strengthens the quality and quantity of certified turf supply for the AusGAP group, particularly in the South East Queensland region.

“We have two more businesses that have begun the process of certification in recent times,” Dorney said, “Orana Turf in the New South Wales central west and Clarence Valley turf on the New South Wales north Coast”.

“We welcome our newest AusGAP members and look forward to working with them to improve the overall standard of turf supplied in Australia.”
